My Story

Born in a family of civil servants, and brought up in the Pink City of India, I learnt very early on, the values of honesty, hard work, and that ‘Knowledge is Power’. Took a village to raise me but had to travel across the world to find my love for the homeland that is Bharat. I have Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Economics from Purdue University, USA and an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur.

How I got into investment banking?

Been a Jack of all trades throughout my life. Having already tried my hand at IT, Marketing, HR and Consulting, I finally found my calling as an accidental iBanker.

What keeps me up at night?

Knowing that Time stops for no one and there are a million things out there that I don’t know but could and should know. Also, procrastination.

My inspirations

1. My Mother is my pillar of strength. Her goodness keeps my faith in the world alive
2. Cristiano Ronaldo – Hard work beats Talent, if Talent doesn’t work hard! The man is the epitome of discipline, ambition and perseverance
3. Roger Federer – Grace personified! The aura of the legend with no haters
   

My focus/interest

Disruptive companies with Tech at their core. I enjoy working with companies in ConsumerTech, GreenTech, EV, and EdTech sectors.

What excites me?

1. Being able to have an impact in a person’s life, however small it may be
2. Visionary founders who wish to change the way people consume and live

My advice to entrepreneurs

An idea is only as good as its Execution – Go get your hands dirty, fast and often. You’ll never know what it can be or could have been if you don’t try
