My story

Born in Kaithal, Haryana. Grew up in Noida. I was a very inquisitive yet restless kid. Fast in Maths, good at sports and a massive astronomy nerd. Studied Maths and Computing at IIT Kharagpur, post which had plans to pursue CS Masters. World took a turn with covid, and finally pursued MBA from IIM Calcutta to explore the financial world.

How I got into investment banking?

In all honesty, investment banking chose me. I was preparing for core finance roles towards global markets/sales and trading when this golden opportunity came and I grabbed it.

What keeps me up at night?

Bit cliché, but vastness of the world and ultimate purpose of life is something I actively think about.

My inspirations

My family; parents, elder sister along with my close friends are a constant source of inspiration, given that they have done some absolutely amazing stuff.

My focus/interest

At the stage of my career, I’m very sector agnostic, and simply looking forward to work with inspiring founders who aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo yet keep their thinking based on first principles.

What excites me?

Disruptive services/technology. Anything with potential to change the landscape of that industry for the better. Also, niche products but that service a very critical gap/need in that space.

Best piece of advice given to me

Its not only about hard work, its about perseverance. This is something I was told by a senior during my initial days of IIT prep, and is something I hold by till date.

My advice to entrepreneurs

Be fearless and shameless when working on your product/service yet have the self-realization to think with the first principles and take feedback of all kinds.

What IndigoEdge is to me?

IndigoEdge is my first job, and I couldn’t be happier to be at a place with a strong value system despite being in investment banking. A very open organization with approachable and guiding seniors, always ready first hand to work with inspiring company/founders and reshaping the Indian startup space.

Cooling Off

I’ve recently started playing poker very actively with friends. Apart from that, I love reading some interesting books, occasional badminton and chess along with streaming movies and shows.
