My Story

I started my career in technological consulting after my B.Tech in Polymers Engineering from ICT Mumbai (formerly UDCT). I wanted something client-facing so I pursued MBA from IIFT Delhi, majoring in Finance and Strategy, which introduced me to the world of investment banking.

How I got into investment banking?

Started my MBA internship preparation with a focus on front-end consulting but eventually got attracted more to the field of finance which helped me land an internship in one of the coveted IB roles. In the second year of MBA, I got an opportunity at a case competition hosted by IndigoEdge which I found too exciting to miss – I won it and eventually got an offer from the firm.

What keeps me up at night?

Mostly UCL or movie nights or when I am too excited about things I am supposed to do the next day

My inspirations

I am highly inspired by football, which changed my life, physically and mentally: Jose Mourhino taught me the importance of winning whereas Messi taught me to never stop dreaming and Pep taught me the art of doing things perfectly. I am also highly influenced by anime/manga characters: especially, Naruto and Guts, who taught me the essence of never giving up in life, no matter what!

My focus/interests

Areas of artificial intelligence, analytics and their use cases are very interesting – the newer avenues of growth and non-linearity of this growth excites me a lot about this space. Even fintech is an interesting area: considering the pool of opportunities in the Indian banking system, having >60% of the population under-banked, the scope of changing lives through fintech is massive!

What excites me?

An opportunity to change multiple lives by providing support to well-driven entrepreneurs and their ideas/companies

Best piece of advice given to me

Always Ask Questions

My advice to entrepreneurs

It takes a lot of gumption and attitude to do what you are doing: so just keep believing to find your dreams come true!

What IndigoEdge is to me?

The people in the organisation believed in me and gave me an opportunity to achieve my dream of becoming an Investment Banker – so it is obviously more than a job – more like a relationship for which I will always have best interests and 100% commitment
