About Saptangshu.

I was raised in a small town named Siliguri, in West Bengal, and was never too passionate about academics growing up. Nevertheless, I graduated with English Literature from a local college after which I sought jobs across Government Institutions and Public Sector Units. Fortunately, I was offered a first job at SBI PO where I was introduced to Finance. This was a fascinating first experience and soon I felt the need to explore more, which gave me the hunger and passion to leave a “Secured Government Job” and pursue an MBA in Finance from IIM Indore. IndigoEdge has been the next chapter in my story.

Why I chose a career in investment banking?

Since I was introduced to the world of finance, Investment Banking has always fascinated me. However, I could not never figure out why the field captivated me. Today I reason that the aspirational value attached to being an Investment Banker is a key reason behind my motivations to succeed in this sphere. While initially I never imagined that someone with a background such as mine could enter Investment Banking, when I won several finance and consulting-based competitions during my MBA, I gained that confidence. I.Envest by IndigoEdge was a content that I placed in and won, which was followed up by a PPI and PPO from the company.

What keeps me up at night?
