My story
Although originally from Rajasthan, I was born in a small town in Gujarat and spent my formative years across various towns and cities in the state. Early on, I discovered a strong disinterest in Biology, which nudged me toward Engineering, leading me to pursue my undergraduate degree from NIT Surat (2004-08). My professional journey began at Futures First, where I traded US bonds and interest rate markets. This experience not only sharpened my analytical skills but also sparked a deeper interest in the world of finance. Motivated by this exposure, I pursued an MBA in Finance from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (2009-11). Since then, I have built my career in investment banking, working across multiple sectors. Along the way, I also explored entrepreneurship by launching and scaling a women’s fashion wear venture. It was an experience that enriched my perspective on building businesses ground-up. Outside of work, I’m passionate about sports, both playing and watching. I enjoy reading fiction, sports biographies, and a wide range of other books.
How I got into investment banking
My entry into investment banking was more serendipitous than planned. I began my career as an equity research analyst, and about a year in, the firm decided to realign teams across functions. That’s when I opted to explore investment banking and ended up really enjoying it.
What keeps me up at night
I am a complete night owl – reading books, watching sports, movies/sitcoms and so on.
My advice to entrepreneurs
Patience is one of the most underrated but essential traits in building a business. Trust your instincts — even if the idea sounds crazy to others. Often, it’s those bold, gut-driven bets that end up making the biggest difference.
My inspirations
Sports has been one of the biggest inspirations in my life which taught me discipline, teamwork, camaraderie and above all goal seeking.
What excites me
Learning new things, travelling, understanding new sectors/businesses.

What I enjoy doing in my free time
Playing with my kid and my Shih Tzu (dog), hanging out with close friends, watching sports, sleeping till late in the afternoon.
