My story
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, I started my career with a Big 4 firm. While valuable, I soon discovered that traditional Big 4 practice didn't fulfil my entrepreneurial ambitions. I then pursued an MBA to broaden my perspective. Coming from a Marwari family with a strong business heritage, I felt naturally drawn to the world of commerce and deal-making. This passion, combined with my enhanced business knowledge, led me to launch my own venture after completing my MBA, before eventually finding my calling in investment banking, where I could seamlessly combine my financial expertise with my love for business.
How I got into investment banking
I have always been fascinated by emerging businesses, innovative ideas, and the start-up ecosystem. Investment banking provides me with a front-row seat to India's dynamic entrepreneurial landscape and the invaluable opportunity to work closely with exceptional founders building for the future.
What keeps me up at night
Honestly, nothing. I sleep quite well (unless I'm on my daughter's diaper duty).
My advice to entrepreneurs
Rarely does a business model remain exactly as the founder originally envisioned. It is crucial for entrepreneurs to stay adaptable and be willing to pivot based on market conditions or customer feedback. One key learning from my experience is understanding when to step back or exit - whether that means bringing in new leadership, selling the company, or knowing when to cut losses.
My inspirations
Sir Alex Ferguson - his unwavering determination and discipline throughout his legendary career is inspiring. Maintaining excellence at the highest level for over two decades while consistently adapting and evolving his approach demonstrates true greatness. Rafael Nadal - his relentless fighting spirit and never-give-up mentality resonate strongly with me. What I find most admirable is how he battles for every single point, regardless of the score. His ability to stay grounded after reaching such heights is a valuable lesson in character.

I treasure the time I spend with my daughter above all else. In addition to family time, I enjoy reading, watching sports, and planning my next travel adventure.
