My story
Eldest born to a large, close-knit family that celebrates entrepreneurship. Shop talk was the norm at the dinner table. A four-year stint at KPMG for the CA articleship gave me structure and discipline. And another 8 years of co-founding and heading finance at a construction tech start-up taught me everything else I know.
How I got into investment banking
Post our start-up exit, I was exploring what my options were. A meeting with Zerin and an internship at IE later, I was hooked. The excitement of working with some truly amazing founders, the energy of the start-up ecosystem, it’s addictive.
What keeps me up at night
I am happy to say – nothing! My kids sleep in a separate room now. I have missed a good night’s sleep for far too many years.
My advice to entrepreneurs
It’s a long, hard, and sometimes lonely ride. Invest in your team, you need good people along for the journey.
My inspirations
Master Ping Xiao Po (street name: Kung Fu Panda). The way that guy gets back up every time he goes down. Continuously learning, giving it his everything, every time. Most importantly, doing it in his signature style!
What excites me
Rockstar founders who are solving problems that need solving. It’s a privilege to be in a position to help them achieve their vision.
Best piece of advice given to me
The Serenity Prayer – “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
What IndigoEdge is to me
Truly one of a kind organisation. The org, and the people that make the org, look out for each other. True to the slogan on the website – “For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.”
My key focus and interests
Honestly, I am still figuring this one out myself. At this stage of my journey, I want to keep working with companies across segments at different stages. Having said that, Greentech has been a personal favourite.
What I enjoy doing in my free time
Good food. A good fiction read. Solo trips. Time with my kids. Dance classes.
