My story
Raised in Surat, grew up in a typical family business where our textile trading shop became my first classroom for all things business. Table talks revolved around stocks, investments, and trade - unknowingly shaping my curiosity for markets and entrepreneurship. Deeply passionate about cricket, I dreamt of becoming India’s Shane Warne. Undergrad from Nirma Institute followed by an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. Started fresh out of college with a start-up writing research reports for companies coming out of bankruptcy before kick-starting my corporate career with Deloitte in USA.
How I got into investment banking
At Deloitte, deal-making and valuation piqued my interest and for the last 11+ years I've been into investment banking, where I've had the privilege of advising new-age businesses across Health, Logistics, Education, Fintech, and Consumer Internet.
What keeps me up at night
POKER because that is the best time to play :)
My advice to entrepreneurs
Pivots, Innovation and Growth are your 3 pillars and being a bit paranoid is good for business.
