My story
I grew up in Kharagpur, spending summers solving integrals with my dad in the mornings and playing basketball in the evenings. I’ve always wanted to solve complex problems and have a genuine love for fashion - I firmly believe there’s no problem a great outfit and a clean model can’t solve. I'm passionate about new and disruptive thinking, especially when it challenges the status quo and drives real change.
How I got into investment banking
During my time at IIM Indore, I wanted to explore finance, a space where I felt I could combine my love for numbers with the opportunity to work on real-world challenges. After a fun stint in managing liquidity for J.P. Morgan, I wanted to break into IB to work with teams and founders solving interesting problems.
What keeps me up at night
The fact that a large number of people in India still live below the poverty line and inequality continues to increase...
My advice to entrepreneurs
I can only take advice from any entrepreneur at this point, hopefully that changes soon :)
My inspirations
My mother, the first financier I've known, and Ada Lovelace, the first computer programmer.
What excites me
Being part of something impactful, collaborating with passionate teams and founders.
Best piece of advice given to me
"If you've given your best, nothing else matters."
What IndigoEdge is to me
A chance to be a part of an exciting team helping solve complex problems.
My key focus and interests
Ideas that challenge the status quo or bridge an existing gap that had remained unsolved - especially if it pertains to the beauty & personal care or apparel industry.
What I enjoy doing in my free time
I love karaoke, am passionate about fashion and personal style, and enjoy making art. My perfect weekend involves scouting Church Street for that elusive, perfectly coloured hairclip or gathering supplies for my next scrapbooking project.
